How to Restore

Our roof restoration is the combination of three individual services offered by many home roofing companies:

Tile Roof Restoration Process

  1. Replace All Cracked and Broken Tiles: Ensure the integrity of the roof by replacing any damaged tiles.

  2. Pressure Clean the Entire Roof: Utilize a water blaster with 4,500 psi pressure to eliminate mould, lichen, and dirt, and to strip much of the existing surface.

  3. Re-bedding Ridge Caps (if Necessary): If any part of the existing bedding is even slightly loose, it will be re-bedded to ensure stability.

  4. Re-point Ridge Caps with Flexible Pointing Mortar: A polymer-based flexible pointing mortar will be used for re-pointing. This flexible material adapts to the natural expansion and contraction of your home, preventing cracks.

  5. Apply a Sealer/Primer Coat: This initial coat seals the roof and etches into the tile surface, acting as a gripping layer for enhanced adhesion.

  6. Apply Two or More Acrylic Membrane Coats: Choose from over 30 colors for the acrylic membrane coats. These thick, protective layers not only safeguard your roof but also enhance your home’s overall appearance.

  7. Quality Control Inspection: Each stage of the roof restoration will be meticulously inspected by the business owner to ensure the highest quality.

Metal Roof Restoration Process

  • Treat any light rust by grinding it back and applying a potent rust converter.

  • Replace any sheets where rust is beyond treating.
     

  • Replace any loose or rusty nails or screws.

  • Pressure clean your roof.

  • Apply a metal etch primer coat.
     

  • Apply 2 or more acrylic membrane coats in the colour of your choice.

  • Replace broken tiles.
     

  • Apply a strong mould killer to the entire roof.
     

  • Pressure clean the entire roof.
     

  • Remove ridge caps and re-bed if required.
     

  • Re-point all ridge caps with a polymer based flexible pointing mortar.
     

  • Apply 2 coats of Terracotta glaze to the entire roof.
